Shoot for a Wealthy World, a Photo-Story Contest on Sustainable Development


People may understand the importance of digital photography and its power. One shot of photograph will be able to tell million stories. It’s coming to live for Cambodians to portray their imagination and photography skill and win the prize in Photo-Story Contest on Sustainable Development, according to press release on July 11. 


The contest is opened for all Cambodians aged between 16 and 30 to grab a chance and tell their story through pictures under the theme “Sustainable Development” including agriculture, climate change, water resource and sanitation, tourism, sustainable forest and land use, and economic growth and development organized by the Department of Media and Communication (DMC) with support by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The competition aims at marking the initiative of youth to youth, bringing youth to participate in and share with their friends and relatives, communities and stakeholders in the framework of “Sustainable Development.”
 
The top 15 contestants will be able to get an opportunity to learn more in the age of social media. The three finalists will be awarded prizes as DSLR Camera, Smart Phone and iPod touch accordingly together with opportunity to exhibit their products outdoor. 

The orientation workshop will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Department of Media and Communication (DMC) from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
